Competition Companies
Elite Companies are for serious dance students in Kindergarten through 12th grade who would like to dedicate more weekly time to dance and learn to work with others in a group setting. We have three levels: Prep, Intensive, and Convention Companies.
Level One – Jazz Prep Companies
DEDC Elite Jazz Prep Companies are designed for dancers who want more commitment than our recreational jazz classes, but are not ready for or do not want to commit to as much time as our Intensive or Convention Companies. There are no auditions for Prep. Students should have at least one year of dance and performing experience and must commit to season contract. There are two Elite Jazz Prep Companies.
- Elite Mini Prep (Tuesdays 4:15-5:00 PM & a leveled jazz tech class) is for K-3rd Grades,
- Elite Senior Prep (Tuesdays 4:15-5:00 PM & a leveled jazz tech class) is for 4th-12th Grades.
Contact us for times for jazz tech options. Elite Mini & Senior Prep students are required to attend two classes per week in jazz (choreography class) and jazz technique. All Prep students are required to purchase costumes & team t-shirt, purchase team practice wear, participate in Christmas, Elite & Spring Dance Concerts, and attend two local competitions and pay entry fees. Prep students do not have extra practices. For an information packet and to register for Prep Companies, contact us. Registration is open. Early registration is recommended as some companies may became full prior to the season starting. Registration can be done by phone 435-414-6012, or in person. Contact us for front desk hours.
